This movie is so cliched that it´s disappointing...
The story while not exactly bad, the problem is that their clichés makes it all very predictable; I pretty much knew what was going to happen before it happened, the human characters were boring; especially the main character who was no more than a blank slate for the viewer to reflect on and say "yeah, that´s me doing that". The plot points in general are the victims of the cliches the movie fallow, and is easy to perceive that if you are not a general movie goer.
The cgi on the apes is amazing however, they almost look like they really got actual apes to play the roles, but the rotoscope is very well done and the animator did a great job with the modeling and digitalization of the faces. I give credit where credit is due, I just wish the characters and story would have been much better...
