After a long wait, the movie based on the big internet icon has finally been released world wide... and it holds up has the biggest, if not, the ultimate fan made movie ever made!
The Nerd (played by James Rolfe) is force the face his fear for the worst video game of all time when his fans keep teasing him to play it; his fear for the game becomes the Nerd´s brick wall to try and save his fans from the game has he sees no other but choice to confront it head on and discover all of it´s dark secrets in the process. If there is one thing that the movie does right is that it´s big and epic, like a big party and there is no end supply of fun to be has while watching it; it knows exactly what it is and is not trying to be anything else...
Has a fan founded movie there is bound to be some limitations but the way it´s directed and written makes it a fun ride, mostly because is just way bigger than you would expect from a movie with this kind of budget; the special effects are very interesting to watch and when you see something that seems out of place like an obvious green screen you know it´s meant to be noticed. There is a big amount of internet celebrity cameos and the performance from the actors is very entertaining; it´s obvious that on top of all the hard work put together to make the movie the people behind it had fun making it.
AVGN the movie is just one big fun party of a film. if you know the Nerd and enjoy his online show you will love to see this movie, if you have no idea who he is you will probably be lost a couple of times. This a movie made by fans for the fans!
